Especially for those living in remote areas, India Post Payments Bank has introduced a new facility. In which the local postman will go to the house and link the Aadhaar with the mobile number. India Post Payments Bank and UIDAI under an arrangement will allow postmen to update mobile numbers of Aadhaar cardholders.

Now a resident Aadhaar holder can get his mobile number updated in Aadhaar by the postman at his door step.

- Go to IPPB Official Website.
- Â Now, Click on Doorsteps Banking.
- Â Now, scroll down and click to “Click Here” Link.
- IPPB is only providing mobile update service and will very soon also enable child enrollment service through its network.
- The service will be available through 650 IPPB branches and 1,46,000 postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks.

Aadhaar Mobile Number Update At Doorstep: “The portable update administration of UIDAI through the pervasive and open organization of mail centers, mailmen and GDS will help in actualizing IPPB’s vision of serving the underserved and unbanked regions, and crossing over the computerized partition,” IPPB Managing Director and CEO J Venkatramu said in an explanation on Tuesday.
